Review of Bull Strength Conditioning
by Mike Westerdal
Quick Overview
Bull Strength Conditioning was written by our friend Joe Hashey, CSCS. We explained to Joe a while back that people are so sick and tired of boring traditional cardio because it just doesn’t produce the fat burning results they are looking for.
For those of you following our Lean Hybrid Muscle program you know that goal is to build muscle while burning fat in the same training cycle. In case you’re new here let me just remind you that this is accomplished by combining strength building, muscle growth and hybrid cardio exercises into our programming.
Hybrid cardio is anything that combines cardio with resistance training into the same workout or even the same exercise in order to build the type III muscle fiber.
Having more mitochondria in the muscle cells means that more nutrients can be processed, giving the muscles the ability to work considerably harder for longer periods. They’re also able to grow larger and are able to resist getting tired for longer periods.
Joe has been a big fan of Hybrid Muscle Training. He has spent the last few months tweaking and developing a book full of hybrid cardio circuits and exercises for us!
What Do You Mean by Plug-In for Lean Hybrid?
Okay Joe’s eBook has 27 hybrid cardio circuits or complexes. If you’re on the Lean Hybrid Muscle program you can use any of these 27 circuits on your hybrid cardio days.
Many of you have been emailing Elliott & I asking if there are any other exercises that you can do to replace the ones that are in your workout templates. Well that’s where Joe stepped up and came up with these sick-ass exercises and circuits for you. They all involve resistance and cardio in the same exercise and you can swap out any of these exercises for exercises in the Lean Hybrid Muscle program.
Bull Conditioning is a plug-in because it works with our program.
Why is it Lean Hybrid Muscle Approved?
Plain and simple this program is Lean Hybrid Muscle approved because it’s all about hybrid cardio. You can use these exercises, complexes and circuits to develop the type III muscle fiber!
Who Is the author Joe Hashey?
Having worked in the fitness industry and been online for over a decade I’m going to share with you something a lot of people don’t realize. There are gurus and fitness experts that get a lot of attention and exposure because they are good at marketing. That doesn’t mean their methods are the best out there. Just because you see someone’s face all over the Internet doesn’t mean they can bench press their way out of a paper bag.
Mr. Hashey is the real deal. He’s played sports his whole life both in high school and college. He’s a certified strength & conditioning specialist who runs a sports training company called Synergy Athletics. He also coaches high school football and baseball at Vestal Senior H.S. in New York.
We would never give this book the Lean Hybrid stamp of approval unless we were 100% convinced this information will help you. This is the first product we have reviewed and approved to work with our Lean Hybrid System.
Need A Sample? Check Out The Warrior Circuit
This one is a cool way to end your workout. Instead of jogging on the treadmill for 45-minutes do this hybrid cardio circuit. Remember there are 27 others in the eBook just like this.
This upper body conditioning circuit was created for any grappling style athletes. This includes wrestlers, MMA fighters, offensive lineman, defensive lineman, and lacrosse players.
Time Option: Perform each exercise at EXTREMELY high intensity for 15‐25 seconds and then switch as quickly as possible.
Rep Option: Perform 20‐30 reps of each exercise.
Rest Period: Rest 30‐60 seconds upon completion of each circuit. Repeat for 3‐6 rounds depending on ability and necessity.
1. Pushups
2. Band or cable low rows – Substitute a straight bar if you must.
3. Med Ball Chest Passes – Push the ball into the ground if you do not have a partner, maintain a straight back.
4. Hand Walking – over plates. Increase or decrease the height for difficulty. Move QUICK to help facilitate shoulder stabilization.

Is There Anything We Don’t Like About It?
You can tell Joe is a real strength coach. The information in the book, the exercises and the workouts all get an A+. The only thing that could use some improvement is the layout or graphics. Maybe some videos of the exercises would be cool too. But graphics and fancy stuff like that doesn’t really matter at all when it comes to how good the information is so I wouldn’t worry about it. Joe spends his time making sure his circuits are top-notch and not wasting time on fancy backgrounds, borders, and stuff like that.
