Natural Bodybuilding Smackdown
These videos are pretty funny. Our buddy Brian Cannone who runs the Fitness Atlantic natural bodybuilding competition likes to egg the contestants on to talk smack to each other WWE style.
It’s pretty cool, after all these years of running a hugely successful fitness event like these he’s made countless connections and friends with some of nations top physique competitors. Having friends on the “inside” really gave him a huge advantage when creating his Stage Ready Nutrition eBook. To get bodyfat levels this low you can’t go to a regular nutrionist for advice. Trust us, many of the “Internet Gurus” just don’t have this information, because they aren’t personally friends with the athletes that have done it!
Check out these dudes in the video. Ya the leg press form might be suspect, what do you think? Tell you what, eating fire would surely increase your metabolic rate! It’s gotta do something for his abs right? Talk about a fat burning furnace or whatever you want to call it!
These are extreme athletes and if you think you can handle it go here to see the Stage Ready Nutrition plan. We’re not sure if we could handle a diet like these guys and gals do, but if you really really want single digit body fat than the pre-contest meal plans and this package is your best resource. http://tinyurl.com/ydg96dc <<<<<<< Go Here

Wow thank you for these videos, Elliot. Just a great reminder on how NOT to act. I couldn’t even finish watching, these guys were so obnoxious. The women were awesome though, pretty amazing strength and flexibility!

Those girls would have been really beautiful, if they didn’t carry that much muscle. But that’s their choice. I totally still respect the dedication and hardwork. The two guys were just funny as hell

So you think that they are automatically ugly because they have
muscle?
The first woman wasn’t even that big, and she was extremely athletic
looking. Maybe the second woman was pretty muscular, but its rather
obnoxious of you to assume that all women should be small and
wimpy skinny in order to be “beautiful”.
And no, I am not a huge jacked up lady. I just think you’re being
judgmental and prejudiced towards how you think women “should”
look

I don’t think its obnoxious for a man to have the opinion that women should be smaller than the women in these videos. Just like some women think that men that are extremely jacked, look gross.
It’s only “Mads” opinion, and he is entitled. I agree that women that are extremely ripped and muscular look unattractive. For one I prefer a woman with a little more soft look to her, as softness (not obesity) is feminine. Women being fit is very nice, but women being shredded to the bone, and muscular is not my forte.
Men that think women “should” looked jacked and ripped like these women are equivalent in mentality to “Mads” which just thinks the opposite.
Every person thinks how a person “should” look, even it is a range of looks that are acceptable. Some people have a wider range or acceptable looks, and some are more narrow ranged (these folks tend to be bashed for their narrow range of acceptance–but there just like everyone else.)

Yeah of course extremes of anything is too much. I agree that
everybody has their own idea of what the “perfect” person
looks like.. That cannot be argued
It was the way he said it that didn’t come across as an
opinion, but rather a statement said with a small sigh. And I have
heard so many guys say the same thing, pointing out that
girls are “supposed” to be soft, and guys are “supposed” to be
strong and athletic. I put Mads in the same category as these
male chauvinists because of his wistful and somewhat
condescending tone.
And of course factor in the fact that I had just heard about four
very derogatory sexist jokes in the day, then I read his comment
and got all annoyed.
My apologies if I offended with my reply. Not my intention at all.
And thanks to Lagius for the clarification.

I saw a show on TV the other night where obesity being fat was what men in that country considered beautiful. I can’t remember the country, I”m sorry. But it was crazy they were force feeding their young girls to make them gain weight so that they could attract a mate. Having fat meant that you were rich and fertile both good qualities. Every culture has their own opinion of beauty and even within the US opinions will vary greatly. We’re all entitled to our opinions. It’s just sad when the media portrays beauty is a certain look and make us all think that is reality. Above Vanda is fitness competitior. Rachelle is a female bodybuilder. Bodybuilders will always be bigger than fitness girls. And if you like the softer look there’s model and bikini divisions. These were just a few sample videos we found.

I complete agree with Ryan’s post.. the guys were just morons. I love the quarter squatting/leg pressing that was going on (may not even have gone that deep!). As for the females, I fell in love!!

I agree. At least box squats (1/2 rep range) would have been impressive.
This quarter or less crap was pathetic. For a guy as large as him, it appears his workouts have been tailored around hypertrophy rather than strength through a full range of motion (like a powerlifter would do). What a fool…

It’s all hypertrophy, some like his is sarcoplasmic, where dense and strong is myofibular.

Technically, hypertrophy is an increase in the volume of muscular cells. You don’t need to increase the volume of any muscular cells during every type of training (you could be just increasing strength and not size–by means of better muscle fiber recruitment, or better utilization of energy in each muscle fiber–i.e. mitochondrial density–not cell density). In his case, he is definitely training for hypertrophy (regardless of whether it is primarily sarcoplasmic or myofibular–clearly the former). We don’t need to get into semantics. Either way, my main point was that he should to improve his full range of motion, and try to build some real functional strength…not just volumization of cells and a larger than life ego.

The great Reg park years ago did 1/4 squats with 1000lbs, all natural. It is a great way to boost your ego, and get your body used to supporting that much weight, it can help you to pass a sticking point, care with the knees though.
As for the lassies, they can train with me any time, 1/4 reps or full reps ya boy ya.
