I had a workout like this a week ago. 4 exercises x 5 sets, 6 to 10 reps each exercise back to back and about 3mins rest between sets. Hard work but i figured, I'd never trained like that before and nothing had ever really worked before, so lets try it! I liked it and will keep doing it this way and see what results I get.
I actually did this 2 times, 8 different muscles/exercise in total and was done in less than an hour. Do you think it is too much doing 8 different muscle groups in 1 session?

totally true....its no use doing those long boring hours of workout with tiny weights and calling them intense.....if a workout is intense u wont be able to do more than a hour(at the most).....and cardio is boring , interval running is much better...

Nice comment Adam! (great name too:) ! ) Anyways Elliot as always I love the info that you feed us! The last few years I have been trying in this fashion and the results are awesome. I have picked up a strong interest to compete in strongman competition and would like to know if the same rules would apply for preparing for a competition when referring to the time of a workout. Would you say that your workouts were always 45 in to an hour? I would be following Lean Hybrid Muscle from now until next spring but how would I adjust my training at that time to prepare for a comp that summer? I have found dome strongman that have atlas stones I can train with and the rest of stuff I have. Thank Elliot!!

I totally agree with all these points especially training under an hour!!! I used to do strength training for around 35 mins by doing 4 compound lifts then 15 mins sprint intervals on treadmill but after Reading your site and emails I've scrapped my intervals and now do short intense circuits. I get a 45kg barbell and go to the exercise mats I stand at the back of the mat do one military press, drop it back into my chest walk to te frot of the mat then back again and do that 5 times, then do 10 bent over rows, then I do a squat walk to te front of the mat then back and do that 10 times, then to finish off I get a 10kg dumbell in each hand an do burpees with them. Then a minute rest after each circuit!!! Harsh but the results are great take about 15 mins to do 4 or 5 sets!!! CHeers for the idea elliot!!!
